Pablo is the handsomest Pitbull mix this side of the Mississippi! Take one look at his big goofy smile and you'll fall in love! Pablo was the victim of extreme neglect--doomed to a life on a chain, he was left unattended for weeks, during which time his chain became entangled so tightly around his rear left leg that bolt cutters had to be used to get it off. Despite the efforts of his veterinarian, the leg couldn't be saved. Dr. Greenwood, supported by the wonderful staff of Northlake Veterinary Surgery, amputated the leg and got him neutered. Pablo has adjusted beautifully to life as a "tripod"--he enjoys going for walks and playing with his foster brothers. Unfortunately, Pablo also has heartworms, but will be starting treatment soon, and no doubt will do well!
Pablo's most favorite thing, though, is giving and receiving love from people! He has been known to dive-bomb into an available lap for kisses and cuddles! He is just the sweetest guy. He wants nothing more than hugs, head rubs, and taking naps curled up next to someone. He is adjusting well to life as an inside dog, and he is 95% housebroken. He is crate trained. Pablo is doing well learning manners with the help of his foster brothers. He hasn't quite got sharing his toys down yet, but we are working on it. He is very interested in his kitties, and will bark and chase them if given the chance--but we are working on learning to respect them. Because Pablo is such a big lover boy, he might knock over small children in his enthusiasm, so a home with older kids would be best. Once you meet him, he'll steal your heart!
