For almost 20 years, Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends has worked to create a world where every pet matters. We strive to help homeless pets find homes and help pets stay with their families for their whole lives.

Dog and Cat Adoption Program
At AARF, we work to save as many pets as we can through our cat adoption rooms at AARF Pet Central and foster homes. We try to help the pets most in need, often those with health or behavioral issues. Once in our adoption program, a dog or cat has a lifetime of care until they are adopted. You can join our work to save those most in need by fostering, volunteering or donating.

Community Programs
With our organization’s mission to create a world where every pet matters always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Our community programs include low-cost vaccine clinics, spay/neuter assistance and the AARF Community Pet Food Bank.

AARF Pet Central
We know many organizations struggle to make ends meet. So, in 2011, we opened AARF Pet Central, which includes a pet supply store and all of the profits support our programs. Starting in 2017, the store profits cover ALL of the administrative costs of our organization, so every dollar you donate goes directly to programs.
